This approach effectively addresses issues related to insufficient bending stiffness and poor stability commonly observed in single-panel structures. By implementing a steel-concrete composite structure, the overall safety and stability of the structure are greatly improved, especially when subjected to high fill loads.


One of the projects we've undertaken involved designing a corrugated steel structure for gas pipe protection. With a span of 14.3 meters and a rise of 3.8 meters, the structure also accommodates space for a storm drainage pipe on top. Given its characteristics of being a low-rise arch with a large span, traditional corrugated steel structures would typically face challenges related to low strength.


To meet the strength requirements for this project, we devised a steel-concrete composite structure solution. This involved utilizing large corrugated steel plates for the arch shell, encircling them with steel bars on the outer surface, and covering the steel bar cage with smaller corrugated steel plates. Concrete was then injected into the steel bar cages to form a robust composite structure. Through rigorous calculation and testing, the composite structure successfully met the required strength standards, ensuring the integrity and stability of the overall gas pipe protection system.
